About the Artist
Before moving to Cape Cod, I enjoyed a 30-year career as a clinical microbiologist. A major part of my work was to identify bacteria, fungi and parasites that cause human disease. I rather imagine all those years of looking through a microscope have given me the ability to paint the fine details most people seem to enjoy in my work.
I'm primarily a realistic painter. My goal is to capture an image or moment in time and have the viewer experience his or her own special memories of that place.
I'm self-guided, with no formal art training. However, I strongly believe my passion for painting and living in such a beautiful area has inspired my creativity.
I am a juried artist member of the Cape Cod Art Association, a member of the Falmouth Artists Guild, and a member of the Sandwich Arts and Crafts Association. My original artwork and prints are sold at "My Sister's Gallery" at 20 Jarves Street in Sandwich. Prints are available at the following Cape Cod locations: National Park Service Visitor Center (Eastham); Painted Daisies (East Sandwich); The Snow Goose Shop (Sandwich); The Crooked Fence (Chatham); Snow's Department Store (Orleans) and Cottonseed's Mercantile (Sandwich.)
